Materials and Finishes
All the timber we use is clear pine and treated with a process called Light Organic Solvent Preservative. LOSP treated timber has been structurally graded and pressure impregnated. This process provides protection against fungal decay and insect attack and is approved by the Building Code of Australia (AS1604). Unlike conventional CCA (chromium copper arsenate) treatments, organic solvent do not affect the dimensions or moisture content of the timber.
The timber is the then primed and followed by 2 coats of acrylic in your choice of colour. We use Wattyl Solagard, which is Australia's leading external paint. We can match your colour regardless if it is another brand. If a natural timber look is what you’re after we recommend Intergrain Naturalstain for the base coat and once the screens are assembled we finish with two coats of Intergrain DWD.
All the LOSP treated timber we use is painted to comply with the guidelines recommended by the Timber Manufacturer and the Australian Paint Manufacturer Association.
